“I bought a tiny but classic old beach house in Moffat Beach, Caloundra in 2007. I hoped it would become my dream home but obviously it needed a major overhaul. I loved the work of Gabriel Poole and engaged Tim (who had worked with Gabriel) to design a renovation for my old shack. From the start, I felt that Tim respected my brief and was able to create a design to suit me. Throughout the process Tim listened to my feedback and was able to integrate my wishes into the design. His creativity and experience gave the design that ‘something extra’ that I could never have created on my own.

During the build he was involved in every step and managed the construction process. This resulted in a quality build (no builders short cuts, sorry builders) and an easy process for me. I actually loved the building process and would love the chance to do it again. There was no stress, the builders worked beautifully with Tim and I’ve ended up with a home that is continually delightful to live in. I now think that the value in using an architect comes towards the end of the build – when they help with choosing paint colours, drawing up the painting schedule and all the little design features that make a house special. I’ve lived in the renovated house for over 4 years now and I still can’t believe that I own such a beautiful home. Good design makes life happier and more fun on a daily basis.”

“We recently contracted Tim Bennetton Architects to design and oversee the construction of a building at the rear of our house, aimed at serving the dual purpose of an entertainment area by our pool and a large workshop/garage underneath. They did a fantastic job, meeting with us on several occasions to re-work the design and budget to suit our needs.
